John accepted Christ as Lord and Savior in 1958, at the age of eight. In 2000, while serving as interim music minister in his church, John arranged for his brother, Daniel Baugh, PhD to visit as the guest pastor for a revival. After hearing Daniel present Jesus’ Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) for reaching the world through discipling, John began working toward his part in the fulfillment of the Great Commission of Christ through disciple making.

As a layman John has presented discipling topics in churches, to fellow disciples and disciple-makers in various locations in the USA, Mexico, Honduras and Africa. He has led or participated in the training of many fellow disciple-makers. He has served as a Deacon and is active in his church as a Sunday School teacher and choir member.

As a professional, John works as a manager in the pharmaceutical industry.

He is the principal sponsor and webmaster of the discipling website Tobelikehim.com.

He and his wife Cindy, have two wonderful sons two beautiful daughters-in-love and four incredible grandchildren.
